The NTPORT4E Expansion Adapter can be combined with an NT4E Capture Adapter to form a high-performance 8 x 1 Gbps solution for very advanced data capture, processing and delivery of network data traffic to a host system at virtually no CPU load.

Packet Capture at full gigabit line rate

The 8-port 1 Gpbs adapter capture function is running at full gigabit line rate at all frame sizes ensuring no packet loss.

Features for off-loading the host system

Advanced HW time-stamping, data merging, filtering, tagging and dynamic slicing are some of the very advanced features that will enable a significant frame processing off-load for any host system. The Napatech multi-CPU buffering feature enables data processing on 32 CPU cores.

Configurations

The NTPORT4E + NT4E Capture Adapters support a total of 8 Ethernet ports in 3 different configurations as either 8 electrical, 8 optical, or 4 electrical and 4 optical gigabit interfaces.
