The NT20E2 Capture Adapter is a high-performance 2 x 10 Gbps intelligent PCIe Gen2 network analysis adapter for Capture & Replay applications. The adapter provides full 20 Gbps throughput to the host application, while leaving more than 99 % of the CPU resources to run customer applications.
Packet capture of Ethernet and Packet over SONET/SDH
The NT20E2 Capture provides support for both Ethernet 10 Gbps LAN and WAN PHY variants (as specified in IEE 802.3ae) allowing both Ethernet and Packet over SONET/SDH frames to be captured at full line-rate.
Designed for Off-the-Shelf Standard Servers
The NT20E2 Capture Adapter is based on a low-profile hardware design supporting SFP+ transceivers and can be installed in almost any standard server.
High-Speed for Packet Capture, Replay and Traffic Generation
The adapter is ideal for capture and replay of 20 Gbps traffic for analysis and troubleshooting, preserving the exact traffic flow and timing structure. For traffic generation the adapter transmits frames generated on the fly by the application or replays traffic from disc as recorded.
Stress-Testing with Precise Control
The adapter can stress-test a device at 2 x 10 Gbps line rate. Simulation of traffic patterns can be performed through precise control of the inter-frame gap or be transmitted according to individual time stamps. Time stamps can also be used to calculate jitter and round-trip delay.
Precise Time Stamp
The NT20E2 Capture supports 10 ns time-stamping of both captured and transmitted frames. Timing can be synchronized to GPS, CDMA or IEEE 1588v2/PTP. An external SMA time synchronization connector is complemented by two internal time synchronization connectors allowing daisy-chain distribution of timing signals.
